Estimates, not measurements

Our calculators make simplifying assumptions — standard door and window deductions, typical waste percentages, common bag sizes and densities — and they work from the numbers you give them. Real products vary: coverage differs can to can, box coverage differs product to product, and bulk materials differ supplier to supplier. Always check the label on what you're actually buying.

Not construction or safety advice

Quantity math is where our job ends. How a base should be compacted, whether a structure can carry a load, what a building code requires, or how to handle materials safely (old paint, dust, chemicals) are questions for qualified professionals and local regulations — not for a calculator. Where a project touches those areas, get proper guidance before you start.
